For pregnancy scans, we recommend capturing your scan between 30 and 37 weeks, as this is when your bump will be nice and round. For twins, this might be a couple of weeks earlier. Choose whichever week feels comfortable for you, as you will need to be able to stand in the same pose for a couple of minutes whilst capturing your scan.
-
Absolutely! Our scanner uses harmless infrared light and does not emit radiation, making it completely safe for you and your bump/baby.
-
For body and pregnancy sculptures, we allow an hour for the appointment. This allows enough time for us to work through multiple poses and ensure you are happy with the scan.
For mother-and-baby sculptures, we allow longer than this - up to two hours, to ensure your baby is fed, settled and you are both comfortable in the chosen position for your scan.
-
To capture the most accurate and natural silhouette, feel free to be completely undressed. However, if you feel more comfortable wearing clothing, we recommend wearing seamless underwear, preferably a thong.
We provide robes in the studio for you to wear before and after your scan.
We also recommend that you remove any jewellery where possible, and wear your hair up, so that no hair falls below your jawline.
-
Feel free to bring another person with you for your scan - perhaps you’d like to bring your partner, mum or a friend and make a day out of it!
Please note there will only be room for one additional adult.
-
Your scan will take place in our comfortable and private home studio in Outwood, Wakefield. This has excellent transport links, located close to both the M62 and the M1 motorways, as well as Wakefield Westgate train station.

As each sculpture is individually handcrafted, turnaround times vary. We'll provide an estimated completion date during your consultation, but we aim to get your sculpture to you around 8 weeks after you approve your digital model.
